The purpose of Preach-The-Gospel.org is simply to encourage others to preach the gospel. Each paper has a different idea but they all explain what the gospel is and how to preach it so that each paper stands on its own. They also highlight error in doctrines that are causing the gospel to not be preached as it ought to be preached.
The Catholics don't believe the gospel has to be spoken with their mouths and the Evangelicals have replaced it with their own doctrine that can only be preached from the pulpit (See SPEAK UP! and PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org). Christ commands us to - “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15).” We must preach it in person with our mouth as the Apostle Paul did (See 1 Cor 1.21, Eph 6.19-20 and Col 4.3-4).
But how can we preach the gospel if we don't know what it is? For thirty years I attended many different evangelical churches but was never taught what the gospel is or how to preach it. But I happened to stumble upon it one day while reading the Bible. The gospel according to the scriptures is simply - “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day.” This is the same gospel the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (1 Cor 15.3-4) and when we preach it to others in person with our mouth, as he did, we get the same results. Paul wrote, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes"... (Rom 1.16) and "I have begotten you through the gospel (1 Cor 4.15b)." According to Christ and the Apostle Paul this is what really matters (See Jn 3.3&7 & Gal 6.15-16).
We live in a sin-sick country and world because the gospel is not being preached as it ought to be. Horrendous things are happening in our nation and world, but by preaching the gospel we can turn it right-side up and speed the return of Christ to take us to be with him forever (See IMAGINE and THE BLESSED HOPE on www.preach-the-gospel.org).
By reading a one-page paper each day and looking up its references the readers will find themselves telling the good news to others and teaching them they tell to do the same (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20).
