ABOUT THE GOSPEL

"I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes..." (Rom 1.16).

The gospel of Jesus Christ is misunderstood andis not being preached by every believer as it ought to be. This is in great part because we have replaced the simple gospel message with our 'plan of salvation' that can only be preached from a pulpit.

According to the scriptures the gospel is - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." This same gospel the Apostle Paul himself received and preached saves every one that believes when we tell it to them in person with our mouth as he did (Eph 6.19-20, Col 4.3-4, Rom 10.14 and 1 Cor 1.21b). Most people already know the gospel, but knowing is not good enough. We must believe on Christ to be born again. We preach the gospel to another because it allows them to believe on Christ and be saved (Mk 16.15, Jn 3.36 & 6.47, Acts 16.31 and 1 Jn 5.1). It's easy to preach after asking another if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.).

The evangelical movement has replaced the gospel with their 'plan of salvation' that can only be preached from a pulpit negating Christ's command for every believer to - "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." The catholics don't preach the gospel in person with their mouth either. They believe that to be saved another must be a catholic and that we are saved by our good works.

Only the preached gospel message can save another and bring the world out of wickedness. Salvation includes forgiveness, cleansing from sin and being filled with the holy Spirit (See SAVED on www.preach-the-gospel.org for a definition of saved.). Our economy is also suffering because the gospel not being preached, for "The plowing of the wicked is sin (Prov 21.4)." producing inferior products and services from ditch diggers up to the president. But the work of the pure is right (Pr 21.8) resulting in quality goods and services that make a nation prosper. "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Prov 14.34.)." "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD (Ps 33.12)."
