The effect that preaching the simple gospel message to others has on the world is beyond my comprehension. But I got a small glimpse of it as I lay in bed early this morning and was compelled to rise up and share it with you.

There is an invisible barrier between people of the world. Everyone seems to be in their own space and cares only about themselves. The only thing that can truly bring bring down the barrier and allow them to have fellowship with us and with God is the gospel (1 Jn 1.3). When we tell another the gospel (good news) in person with our mouth it gives them the opportunity to believe on Christ and be born of God (1 Jn 5.19).

I thought of some places Wipha and I often shop and eat and the difference we have made by preaching the gospel there. The people working at the Publix grocery store where we shop and The Cracker Barrel Restaurant where we eat almost every Sunday are dear to us (and we to them). It is awesome to see them serve their customers out of love! We call the Cracker Barrel Restaurant our church because we enjoy fellowship (I call it familyship) with the workers there. The employees at Publix grocery store are also family to us (not just nameless faces) (See FAMILYSHIP on God has transformed them through the gospel we preached to them (1 Cor 4.15). Seeing them always encourages our heart to go tell the good news (gospel). Isn't this what a church should do?

On a good day we preach the gospel to more than 100 persons in two hours at Disney's Epcot Center where 11 countries are set up around a man-made lake. Those who staff these little outposts are mostly young people on one-year work or school visas. They barely understand enough English to comprehend the gospel message, however those that believe on Christ after we tell them the good news are born of God and will return to their own countries transformed by the power of the gospel message. Hopefully they will preach the gospel when they return so that others can be born again (See BORN AGAIN on The supernatural act that God performed in their hearts and what he will continue doing through them is beyond comprehension (Ps 84.6, Phil 1.6). It is truly amazing grace!

The greatest thing we can do is preach the gospel to others that might believe on Christ and be saved (See SAVED on for a definition of 'saved' and ISAIAH 58.12 REVISED to see what God does as we faithfully preach the gospel and teach others to preach it.). Remember: To preach the gospel simply ask another, "Have you heard the good news (Gospel means good news.)?" and tell them, "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.1-4)." This is the same gospel the Apostle Paul himself received and preached. It is the gospel according to the scriptures (1 Cor 15.3-4) and it saves every one that believes when we tell it to them in person by mouth as Paul did (See Rom 1.16 & 10.14, 1 Cor 1.21 & 4.15 and Eph 6.19-20 & Col 4.3-4)

Be a source of God's amazing grace to the world. Preach the gospel and teach them that believe to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20).
