Do you ever wonder what it takes to be happy? Most think that if they had a million dollars they would be happy. But does money bring true happiness? In this paper I will try to explain how to be blessed (happy).
According to the scriptures a person is blessed by doing God's will. "Whosoever looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed (happy) in his deed (James 1.25)." God blesses us as we obey His commands and teach others to do so (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20). The work is that 6.5 billion people must have the gospel preached to them that they might believe on Christ and have everlasting life (Jn 3.36 & 6.47, Rom 1.16 and 1 Tim 2.4). Christ has commanded us to - "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." "For It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching (the gospel) to save them that believe (1 Cor 1.21b). But how can we preach the gospel if we don't know what it is?
The gospel, according to the scriptures, is - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (Read 1 Cor 15.1-4)." But the church has replaced it with their 'plan of salvation' (See THE BIG LIE and THE SINNER'S PRAYER on www.preach-the-gospel.org). According to 'the plan of salvation' a person is saved by a prayer rather than believing on Christ after the gospel is preached to them (See 47 PASSAGES ON BELIEF and THE GOSPEL SAVES on www.preach-the-gospel.org). Christ's command is - "Preach the gospel (Mk 16.15)" not present the 'plan of salvation'. If you want to be blessed make preaching the gospel your primary reason for living (Mt 6.33 & Jas 1.25). "Whoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it (Mk 8.35).
As you go into the world ask others if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) or say "good news" and preach - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." teaching them that believe to preach it as well (Mt 28.20). The blessing of the Lord will be then upon you (Ps 129.8)."
