We sin because we are born sinners, not because society made us this way or because we get it from our genes. Neither is education the answer. We must be born again (Jn. 3.3&7).
The other day I preached the gospel to a group of young teenage boys on a downtown street in Hermosa Beach, CA. They asked me some questions, one of which dealt with homosexuality. I explained to them that God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities round about them for the sin of homosexuality (Gen. 19.28), that He would have spared them if there were but fifty righteous men in that region (See HOMOSEXUALITY on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).
One of the boys made a remark that homosexuals are born that way. I replied, "We are all born in sin." it just manifests itself in different ways in our lives. The person with a perfect upbringing is still a sinner by nature and must be born again. Rebirth occurs supernaturally the instant we believe on Christ after being told - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose from the grave three days later (1 Cor. 15.3-4)." We must tell others the good news after being born of God (1 Jn. 5.1) so they too might believe on Christ and be born again (See Jn. 1.12, 3.16 & 36 and 6.47 also Acts 16.31, Rom. 1.16 & 10.9).
Remember: We were created by Christ and for him (Col 1.16). “He died for all, that they which live (those who have been born of God) should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again (2 Cor. 5.15)." We live for Christ by preaching the gospel and teaching them that believe to preach it (Mk. 16.15 & Mt. 28.20). When the gospel has been preached to every person in every nation the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with him forever. Meanwhile we turn the world right-side up (See THE BLESSED HOPE and IMAGINE on www.preach-the-gospel.org).
To preach the gospel simply ask another if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor. 15.3-4)." Telling the good news (gospel) to others in person with our mouth, as the Apostles did (1 Cor. 15.3-4 & Eph. 6.19), saves every one that believes (Rom 1.16). Then we can teach them to preach the gospel as well (See TEACH THEM on www.preach-the-gospel.org) thereby multiplying the gospel seed (Mt. 28.20).
Everyone is born in sin and therefore must be born again. Therefore we must - "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk. 16.15)."
