“… Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (Jas 4.7b).”

A good offense is the best defense. Preaching the gospel to others daily as we go is the best way of putting the devil on the run and taking the kingdom of God by force (See TAKE THE KINGDOM on

We are to put on the whole armor of God that we may stand against the wiles of the devil (Eph 6.11), but Christians are failing to put on an essential part of the armor of God. We aren't shodding our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace (Eph 6.15) which means to preach the gospel as we go (Mk 16.15). Because of this we are suffering defeet (pun intended) and the kingdom of God is not being advanced as it should be. Would you go into combat barefooted? This is exactly what we are doing.

There is no defense against the gospel. When we tell it to another (preach it -1 Cor 1.21, Eph 6.19-20 and Col 4.3-4) it goes to their heart instead of stopping at their mind. The gospel is God's power to save every one that believes (Rom 1.16) and does not return void (IS 55.11). We simply have to utter it to another in person with our mouth (Phone works too.). Then it does the work of saving them (See THE GOSPEL SAVES on To preach the gospel to another simply ask them if they have heard the good news, then tell them - “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose from the grave three days later (1 Cor 15.3-4 revised).” - The Gospel according to the scriptures.

By telling one person a day we do well (Jas 2.8) and by teaching that person to preach the gospel we do really well (See TEACH THEM on We take the kingdom by force by preaching the gospel. Let's put the devil to flight by preaching the gospel as we go and teaching them that believe to do the same. Remember, “The best defense is a good offense. “
