"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)."

The saying we've all heard is, "The church is the people, not the building." Why not go a step further and say, "A building is not necessary." Let me explain.

Every Sunday for almost three years my wife and I have been preaching the gospel at the local Cracker Barrel Restaurant. The gospel only need to be preached once for another to believe on Christ and be born into God's family (1 Jn 1.3). So we have lots of family members at the restaurant. That wall has been removed (Eph 2.13-16) allowing the precious gift of fellowship to exist between us (See FAMILYSHIP on

We preach the gospel as we go wherever we go (ie. Publix Grocery Store, Lowes Home Improvement, WalMart, etc.) and encourage them them to preach the gospel as well so that many might believe on Christ and be saved (Jn 3.36 & 6.47 and Acts 16.31). Imagine if everyone preached the gospel as they went and taught them that believe how to preach it. Soon the whole community would enjoy that blessed fellowship (familyship) that exists between believers (See IMAGINE on

It does not take a building to preach the gospel, just a willingness to put it on your lips to others and to teach them you tell how to preach it. It's so simple to preach the gospel even a child can do it. Sadly, it seems they are the only ones that will preach the gospel when we teach them how. The adults are ashamed of it or afraid of rejectioin (Mk 8.35, Lk 9.26 and Rom 1.16).

To preach the gospel (1 Cor 15.1-4) simply ask another if they have heard the good news and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." This same gospel that the Apostle Paul received and preached saves every one that believes when we tell it to them in person with our mouth as he did (1 Cor 15.3-4, Rom 1.16, Eph 6.19 and Col 4.3-4).

It doesn't take a building to build the church, just a willingness to preach the gospel as we go and teach them we tell how to do the same (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20) (See TWO OR THREE on
