Jesus’ commands every believer to - “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15).” In other words we are to tell every person that - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4).", the same gospel the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (v.3-4).
It is easy to preach the gospel to another after asking them, "Did you hear the good news (Gospel means good news)?" It allows them to believe on Christ and be saved (Acts 16.31, Rom 1.16 & 1 Cor 1.21) then we can teach them to preach the gospel as well (Please see SAVED! on www.preach-the-gospel for a definition of 'saved'.). After this gospel has been preached to every person in every nation (in person with our mouths, Eph 6.19-20) the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with him forever (Mk 16.15, Mt 24.14 & 30-31 and 1 Thes 4.13-18)!
But the gospel is not being preached as it ought to be, thus hindering the return of Christ, because the church has added their 'plan of salvation' whereby we must lead a person to Christ through a prayer of salvation (See THE SINNER'S PRAYER on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). According to the scriptures a person is saved believing on Christ (Jn 3.36 & 6.47 and Acts 16.31) after we preached the gospel to them (Mt 16.6 & 12, Rom 10.14, 1 Cor 1.21 and Gal 1.7-9 & 4.15) not by a prayer.
When Christ returns we must give an account. We have been given a talent so let's not bury it; instead let's - "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." while teaching them that believe to preach it (Mt 28.20).
Please read a one-page paper on www.preach-the-gospel.org each day for encouragement to preach the gospel and to teach them that believe to preach it.
