"You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit (Jn 15.16)."

The term 'great commission' describes the mission of the church to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Mt 28.20)." These two commands are for every believer to observe.

When the gospel has been preached to every person in every nation the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with him forever (Mt 24.14 & 30-31 and 1 Thes 4.13-18). Meanwhile, by preaching the gospel, we turn the world right-side up (See THE BLESSED HOPE and TURN THE WORLD RIGHT SIDE UP on

Before we can preach the gospel and teach others to preach it we must first know what the gospel is. Paul clearly defines the gospel in his first letter to the Corinthian believers. "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you he gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand... I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures; and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15.1 & 3-4)."

To preach the gospel ask others if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." To teach them to preach it have them ask you if you have heard the good news and role play like you haven't heard. Then coach them through telling you and teaching you to tell it (See TEACH THEM on

Let's fulfill the 'great commission' by preaching the gospel and teaching them that believe to preach it, for in so doing we turn the world right-side up and speed the return of Christ to take us to be with him forever (SeeIMAGINE on
