"That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us (1 Jn 1.3)."

Do you know the feeling of comfort and fellowship experienced in church? I call it 'familyship' (See FAMILYSHIP on Imagine what it would be like if wherever you went was like being in church. This can happen if believers are taught to preach the gospel.

Every believer can and should be preaching the gospel as they go into the world, but this is not happening because a little leaven, 'the plan of salvation', has leavened the whole lump (Gal 5.9). "Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees (Mt 16.6)." said Christ concerning their doctrine (Mt 6.12). The same problem exists in today's church.

We have replaced the gospel by our 'Plan of Salvation', greatly hindering it. Because the gospel is not being preached in the world as it ought to be, people are not being born again into the family of God (Gal 1.21 & 4.15). Therefore wickedness continues to prevail in the world (1 Jn 5.19). Remember, Christ did not say to present a 'plan of salvation', He commands us to preach the gospel (Mk 16.15).

The gospel according to the scriptures is simply - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.1-4)." This gospel that the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (vs 3-4) is easily preached to another by first asking them, "Did you hear the good news?" This gives the hearer the opportunity to believe on Christ and be saved (See SAVED! on for a definition of 'saved'.) and born of God (Gal 4.15 & 1 Jn 5.1). Then are brought into fellowship (familyship) with us (1 Jn 1.3).

If all believers would preach the gospel (tell the good news) and teach tem that believe to preach it as well the people we meet on a daily basis would be our family and we would enjoy fellowship with them (SeeFAMILYSHIP on Also, people would love their neighbor as themselves (James 2.8). But without being born of God there is no fellowship. The works of the flesh (those who have not been born again) are adultery, fornication, idolatry, wichcraft, hatred, strife, envyings, murders, drunkenness and such like (Gal 5.19-21). This is why Christ says that we must be born again (Jn 3.7).

To preach the gospel simply ask others, "Did you hear the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.1-4)." This gospel that the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (He referred to it as the gospel according to the scriptures, v 3-4.) saves every one that believes when we preach it to them in person with our mouths (Rom 1.16, 1 Cor 1.21 & Eph 6.19-22).

By preaching the gospel to others and teaching them that believe to preach it we bring others into fellowship (familyship) with us, forming a loving community. God bless.
