Lately I have been introducing myself to others as Captain America. After preaching the gospel to another and giving them a good news card I tell them that my wife (Wonderwoman) and I are going to rescue the USA in less than three years by telling the good news and teaching others to tell it.
We tell them that they too can be a superhero by preaching the gospel and teaching others to preach the gospel. After giving them a good news card I ask them to ask me if I have heard the good news. I play dumb, "Did I hit the lottery?" then help them say - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." We then congratulate them for preaching the gospel to us and giving us a chance to believe on Christ, explaining that we already knew but we are now born of God because we believed on Christ (Jn 3.36, & 6.47, Acts 16.31). Then we ask them to read a one-page paper each day on www.preach-the-gospel.org to receive encouragement to tell the good new and to teach them that believe ot tell it, that in so doing they join the crusade to rescue our nation.
"There is a big difference between knowing (I point to my head.) and believing (I point to my heart.)." When we tell another the good news in person with our mouth their heart must make a decision whether or not to believe. I find that most believe on Christ and are saved (See SAVED on www.preach-the-gospel.org for a definition of 'saved'.) The instant they believe I see the holy Spirit fall on them (Acts10.44 & 11.15). Remember: The gospel is God's power to save every one that believes when we tell it to them in person with our mouth (Mk 16.15, Rom 1.16 & 10.14, 1 Cor 1.21 & 4.15 and Eph 6.19-20 & Col 4.3-4)!
If time permits we teach them that a church can be two or three people that are preaching the gospel and teaching others to preach it, but a megachurch is a social club at best if it isn't preaching the gospel outside it's doors (See TWO OR THREE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). Christ commands us to - "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." not present a 'plan of salvation' that can only be preached from a pulpit thereby silencing christians from preaching the gospel (See TIGHT-LIPPED CHRISTIANS and PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).
To teach another to preach the gospel (after first preaching it to them) simply ask another to ask you if you have heard the good news and play dumb by asking them, "No, What? Did I get a pay raise? or Did I hit the lottery?" then help them tell you the good news or have them read it from a good news card (Business cards are free at www.vistaprint.com.) (See attachment). When they leave they know what the gospel is and how to preach it and teach another to preach it and can be a superhero.
We are going to rescue the USA in less than three years (See TURN THE WORLD RIGHT-SIDE UP on www.preach-the-gospel.org.) by telling the good news (preaching the gospel) and teaching them that believe to do the same (Eph 3.20). Join the crusade (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20)!
Please read a one-page paper on www.preach-the-gospel.org each day for encouragement to tell the good news and to teach them that believe to tell it (and to teach other believers to tell it). God bless.
