“In vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men (Mt 15.9).”

Sadly, evangelicals have replaced the gospel with their 'plan of salvation' that can only be preached from a pulpit. But Christ's command is “Preach the gospel (Mk 16.15).” not present the plan of salvation.

Christ, referring to them that are teaching their own commandments as doctrines says, “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”

The 'plan of salvation' is contrary to the gospel in that it can't be preached in the world as Christ commands us to do. But Christ commands us to preach the gospel, not present a plan of salvation.

It only takes three seconds to preach the gospel after asking another if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.). Simply tell them, “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4).”

This gospel according to the scriptures is the same gospel the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (1 Cor 15.3) and it saves every one that believes when we tell it to them in person with our mouth (Mk 16.15, 1 Cor 1.21 & Eph 6.19-20).

“Though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you let him be accursed (Gal 1.8).” wrote Paul

Let them alone who are teaching for doctrine the commandments of men (i.e. the 'plan of salvation'). Instead let's preach the gospel and teach others how to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20).
