By preaching this gospel and teaching them that believe to preach the gospel (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20) we labor for the meat that endures to everlasting life. For when this gospel has been preached to every person in all the world Christ will return and take us to be with him forever (Mt 24.14 & 30-31 & 1 Thes 4.13-18).
It doesn't take a seminary degree or bible college to preach the gospel. By asking another if they have heard the good news or saying, "good news" and telling them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." we have preached the gospel according to the scriptures that saves every one that believes (Rom 1.16). has ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel (1 Cor 9.14). He (and she) that reaps in His harvest receives wages (Jn 4.35-36, Phil 4.19 & Mt 6.33).
Does this mean that we should quit our nine to five job and start preaching the gospel full time? Yes, I believe so. We can take God at his word, for it is impossible for him to lie (Tit 1.2). The work of preaching the gospel is more important than any other. "It involves the greatest responsibility and will reward the greatest labour (forward in Gideons bible)."
The reason Christians don't preach the gospel is that the church has replaced it with their 'plan of salvation' whereby we must lead another to Christ by a prayer rather than preach the gospel (See THE SINNER'S PRAYER on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). Jesus' command is - "Preach the gospel in all the world (Mk 16.15)" not present a 'plan of salvation.' People are saved by believing on Christ after we preach the gospel to them in person with our mouth, not by a prayer (Jn 3.35 & 6.47, & Acts 16.31, 1 Cor 1.21 & Rom 1.16 & 10.14).
"Everyone who forsakes houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my sake, and the gospel's, will receive one hundredfold in this life; houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands and will inherit everlasting life (Mt 19.29)." Everlasting meat is enduring meat, not to mention his promise of one hundred fold in this life.
Labour for the meat that endures. Preach the gospel by asking others if they have heard the good news or announcing "good news" and saying - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day." Then teach them that believe to preach the gospel, for it saves every one that believes (Rom 1.16).
When this gospel has been preached to everyone in the world the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with him forever, our greatest reward (Mk 16.15, Mt 24.14 & 30-31, & 1 Thes 4.13-18). "Labour not for the meat that perishes, but for that meat that endures to everlasting life."
