"They went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them...(Mark 16.20)."

Christ command to us is – “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15). When this has been accomplished the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with Him forever (Mt 24.14 & 30-31 & 1 Thes 4.13-18). In the process of preaching the gospel we turn the world right-side up.

We have to get out in the world to preach the gospel (Mk 16.15). We can't do it sitting at home or on a church pew. This doesn't mean that we have to go to the dark continent of Africa or the Amazon. There are plenty of people to tell the good news to as we shop for groceries, clothes, entertainment, etc. I live in the Orlando, FL area which is conidered the vacation capitol of the world. People come here on vacation with their children from all around the world. There is no lack of people to preach the gospel to. Nevertheless, it takes getting up from the sofa and going out, even if it is just to garage sales on Saturday.

Planting and watering the gospel seed is composed of preaching the gospel to another then teaching them how to preach it and teach another. To do this simply ask another if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." Then teach them to preach it by having them ask us if we have heard the good news, saying no (role playing) and coaching them to tell it. Then we can reverse it, having them ask us to ask them if they have heard the good news. Have them play dumb this time and then coach us through preaching the gospel. This allows them to hear the gospel twice and teach another how to preach it once.

After role playing we thank them for preaching the gospel to us and teaching us how to preach it, tell them that we are going to go preach the gospel now (and others how to preach it) and depart. This method of preaching the gospel to another and teaching them to preach it only takes a minute or two and is a great way to plant and water the gospel seed.

Now we can obey Christ’s command to – “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15). There is no need to sit at home in front of the TV set or in our church pew any longer (Also see DOERS on www.preach-the-gospel.org).
