I'M SAVED

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Rom 10.9)."

Sometimes when I tell the good news to Christians they say, "I'm already saved. Tell it to somebody that needs to hear it." Then I explain to them that they need to be preaching the gospel if they are saved.

The gospel is something foreign to Christians. They are not uttering it with their mouth because they have been taught a different gospel. The church's 'plan of salvation' can only be preached from a pulpit (See PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). It is a little leaven that has leavened the whole lump (See A LITTLE LEAVEN on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). Another culprit is the money god. It keeps them from opening their mouth to preach the gospel after they have been taught how to preach it for fear of losing their job (Se The Money God and THE RAT RACE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).

According to the Apostle Paul we must confess Christ with our mouth to be saved (Rom 10.9). To confess means to tell the good news or preach the gospel to another in person with our mouth (Mk 16.15, Eph 6.19-2 & Col 4.3-4). Christ commands us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, not present a 'plan of salvation' from behind a pulpit (See PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). We are still in our sins if we aren't obeying Christ's commands to preach the gospel and teach others to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20). It's called a sin of omission (See TIGHT-LIPPED CHRISTIANS on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).

The gospel is easily preached to another after asking them if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and telling them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4). There is no need to lead a person in a sinner's prayer after showing them that they are a sinner (See THE SINNER'S PRAYER and THE BIG LIE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). Preaching the gospel to another in person with our mouth allows them to believe on Christ (Jn 3.36 & 6.47 and Acts 16.31) and be saved (Please see 47 PASSAGES ON BELIEF and SAVED for a definition of 'saved'.). Then we can teach them to confess Christ (Mt 10.32, Rom 10.9 and 1 Jn 4.2).

Remember: Christ will deny us if we do not confess him before men (Mt 10.33), The Apostle John goes as far as to say that a person is not of God if they do not confess Christ (1 Jn 4.3). So it is a lie for a person to say that they are saved if they are not confessing Christ (preaching the gospel). But as I said, most people don't preach it because they don't know what it is. The so-called church has replaced the gospel with their 'plan of salvation' that can only be preached from a pulpit making the laymen hearers of the word only, deceiving themselves (Jas 1.22-25).

Our job is not only to preach the gospel but even more importantly to teach them that believe to preach it and to teach others to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20). In so doing the gospel seed is multiplied, thereby turning the world right-side up and speeding the return of Christ to take us to be with him forever (IS 58.12, Mt 24.14 & 30-31 and 1 Thes 4.13-18).

Now that we know what the gospel is and how to preach it we have no excuse (other than unbelief) for not confessing Christ. Are we saved? Not if we are not confessing Christ by preaching the gospel in person with our mouth (Mt 10.33, Rom 10.9, 1 Jn 4.3 and Eph 6.19-20 & Col 4.3-4).

Please read a one-page paper each day on www.preach-the-gospel.org for encouragement to preach the gospel and to teach others to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20) .
