INSANITY

"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (2 Tim 3.5)."

Albert Einstein once said, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Evangelicals are doing this with their 'plan of salvation'. They put different spins on it from time to time but its the same old thing, insanity!

I was never taught what the gospel is or how to preach it during the thirty years I attended evangelical churches. This is because they have replaced it with their 'plan of salvation' which can only be preached from a pulpit (See PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org/>.). It takes four years of seminary (I call it cemetary.) to have a pulpit to preach from and then they preach it to the same congregation every week with maybe two or three visitors. But Christ's command is - "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." not hide in a building (Mk 4.21).

I quit attending these so-called churches after reading what Christ has to say about them, "In vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men... Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch (Mt 15.9&14)." When somebody tells me that I should go to their church. I ask them a simple question: "How many people did you preach the gospel to today?" The answer, after scratching their head (because they don't know what the gospel is or how to preach it) is always zero.

God's plan of salvation is simple, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and your household (Acts 16.31)." "But how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher (Rom 10.14)? ... As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things (Rom 10.14-15)!" "For it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching (the gospel, Mk 16.15) to save them that believe (1 Cor 1.21 & 4.15)." But how can we preach the gospel when we don't know what it is?

The Apostle Paul clearly defined the gospel in his first letter to the Corinthian believers: "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you.., I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Cor 15.1 & 3-4)." It's simple to preach the gospel to another by asking them if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and telling them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose third day (1 Cor 15.3-4 abbreviated)."

The gospel is the power of God to save every one that believes (Rom 1.16) when we tell it to them with our mouth (Eph 6.19 & Col 4.3-4). Preaching it to another allows them to believe on Christ and be saved (See SAVED on www.preach-the-gospel.org for a definition of 'saved'.).

The Evangelical 'plan of salvation' seems right and has been accepted as true by many, but it is false doctrine (See THE BIG LIE and THE SINNER'S PRAYER on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). They keep on doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. It's insanity!
