KNOWING

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Rom 10.9)."

The most common response I get from others after telling them the good new (gospel) is, “I know that already.” to which I reply, "Knowing is not good enough. We must believe and tell others.

Most say that they do believe but can't honestly say that they tell others. This gives me the opportunity to give them a good news card with the gospel on one side and Christ's command to: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15).” and www.preach-the-gospel.org to further encourage them to preach the gospel on the other. It's so important to preach the gospel to others that the Apostle Paul even links it to our salvation (See Rom 10.9 above.).

People know of Christ or about Christ but they don't know Christ until they believe on Him after we preach the gospel to them (Jn 6.47, Acts 16.31 and 1 Cor 1.21b & 4.15b). Wickedness prevails in our country because we are not preaching the gospel as we ought to (1 Jn 5.19). Right is wrong and wrong is right. The criminal justice career field is thriving. Jails aren't built fast enough to contain all the criminals so they are over full capacity. But this ought not to be. By telling the good news and teaching them that believe to tell it we will turn our country right-side up in less than two years (See CAPTAIN AMERICA on www.preach-the-gospel.org.

The gospel is simple but not easy to preach. We don't want to tell others for fear of rejection or what others may think or say. But we need to get over this by realizing that the gospel has supernatural power to save every one that believes when we preach it to others in person with our mouth (See THE GOSPEL SAVES and SAVED for a definition of 'saved' on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).

To preach the gospel to another simply ask them if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." This gives them the opportunity to believe on Christ and be saved. Then we can teach them to preach the gospel (and to teach them that believe to preach it) so that the gospel seed will be multiplied and many others will come to know Christ.

Knowing of or about Christ is not good enough. To know Christ we must believe on Him and tell others (See BELIEVE on www.preach-the-gospel.org for the difference between believing on Christ and believing in Christ.).

Reading a one-page paper each day on www.preach-the-gospel.org will encourage you to preach the gospel and to teach them that believe to do the same.
