HIDING OUR LAMP

"Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel."

We hide in a building when Christ commands us to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)."

Isn't it a shame that we go to church every time the doors are opened, we pray and read our bibles, yet we don't tell the good news (gospel) to others that they might believe on Christ and be saved. We have become hearers only, deceiving our own selves (James 1.22).

We have been deceived into believing a false gospel that cannot be preached except from the pulpit. It takes four years of seminary to have a pulpit so that we can preach man's 'plan of salvation' to the same crowd week after week (See PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).

Christ did not say to present a plan of salvation inside a building. He commands us to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." "Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you (Mt 28.20)."

It doesn't take four years of seminary (I call it cemetary.) to preach the gospel, only a willingness to ask others, "Did you hear the good news (Gospel means good news.)?" and tell them, "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)."

Preaching the gospel to another allows them to believe on Christ and be saved (Knowing is not good enough.). Then we can teach them to preach the gospel as well, thereby multiplying the gospel seed.

Let's not hide our lamps inside a building. Let's "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." as Christ commands us to do.
