We must preach the gospel to seven billion people that they might believe on Christ and be saved. Then the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with him forever (Mt 24.14 & 31; 1 Thess 4.13-18) (See SAVED! for a definition of saved and 47 PASSAGES ON BELIEFSAVED! for a definition of saved and 47 PASSAGES ON BELIEF to confirm that a person is saved by believing on Christ, on Let's do the math to see if the work is getting done.

Assume 500,000 churches are preaching the gospel to four new people each month on average. In 50 years this amounts to 1,200,000,000 people (500,000 x 4 x 600 months) which falls short of preaching the gospel to every person by 5,800,000,000. The gospel must to be preached to 23 people x 500K churches each month to reach seven billion people (the earths population) in 50yrs (500,000 churches x 23 = 10,000,000 monthly x 600 months (50 yrs.) = 6,900,000,000).

The gospel is being hindered by the evangelical 'plan of salvation' whereby we must lead a person to Christ rather than simply preach the gospel to them (Mk 16.15, Rom 1.16, Jn 6.47 & Acts 16.31). According to the plan of salvation we must convince another that they are a sinner, have them ask God to forgive them of their sins and ask Christ to come into their heart. Christ commands us to preach the gospel not present a 'plan of salvation'(See PLAN OF SALVATION on

What is the gospel? - "Moreover brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand… I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And he was buried, and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Cor 15.1-4)." It's simple to preach the gospel after asking another, "Did you hear the good news?" if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.). By teaching one or two believers to preach the gospel as well (Mt 28.20) we multiply the seed (See "A FEW GOOD MEN" on

By our estimate we fall short of preaching the gospel to every person (Mk 16.15) by 5,800,000,000 people in 50 years because man's 'plan of salvation' has replaced the gospel (2 Cor 11.3). But if we tell others the good news and teach them that believe to do the same the gospel can easily be preached to every person in every nation in our lifetime, ushering Christ's return to take us to be with Him forever (Mk 16.15, Mt 24.14&31 & 1 Thes 4.13-18).

Daily ask those who cross your path if they have heard the good news and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." Then teach them that believe to do the same (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.19-20). Do the math.
