PhD?

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus (Acts 4.13).”

Yesterday at Daytona beach as I was preaching the gospel to a group of teenagers and teaching them how to preach it one of their dads came over to see what was going on and informed me that one of the girl's dad is a pastor with a PhD traveling the USA. I said, 'That's good.' But I should have told him, “It doesn't take a doctors degree in theology to preach the gospel."

The gospel is so simple that even a three year old child can preach it. But the so-called church has made it so difficult to preach that it can only be done from the pulpit This is where the problem lies (See PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org). The first four disciples Christ called, Peter, Andrew, James and John were uneducated fishermen. Peter became His main Apostle (Mk 16.18).

To preach the same gospel that the first Apostles preached simply ask another if they have heard the good news (gospel) and tell them - “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4).” This gospel saves every one that believes (Rom 1.16, Jn 6.47 & Act 16.31) when we tell it to them in person with our mouth (1 Cor 1.21 & Eph 6.19).

It doesn't take a PhD in theology to preach the gospel, just a willingness to open our mouth and utter the gospel to another (Col 4.3-4).
