Preaching and teaching are distinctly different but they go hand in hand. Before we can teach onother to observe Christ's command to preach the gospel (Mt 28.20) we must first preach the gospel to them that they might believe on Christ and be born of God (Mk 16.15, 1 Cor 4.15 & 1 Jn 5.1).
"For the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor 2.14)." wrote Paul. "Give not that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you (Mt 7.6)." warns Jesus. Don't give things of the Spirit of God (that which is holy) until you have first preached the gospel to another that they might believe on Christ and be saved (Jn 3.36 & 6.47 and Acts 16.31). Please see SAVED! on www.preach-the-gospel.org for a definition of saved.
Preaching the gospel means to utter it to another in person with our mouth (Eph 6.19). "How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher (Rom 10.14)?" "I have begotten you through the gospel (1 Cor 4.15)." wrote Paul. By preaching the gospel and teaching one or two believers to do the same we start a church (See TWO OR THREE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).
The good news is that anybody can preach the gospel according to the scriptures by asking another if they have heard the good news (gospel means good news) or saying "good news" and telling them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." This gospel according to the scriptures is the same gospel the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (See 1 Cor 15.1-4.). When it is preached to another they become a new creature the instant they believe on Christ (Mk 16.15, Rom 1.16 & 10.14, 1 Cor 1.21, Jn 6.47 & Acts 16.31) and can then be taught to preach the gospel themselves.
Preaching the gospel and teaching others to preach the gospel go hand in hand (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20) but only after preaching the gospel to another can we teach them to preach the gospel. Daily as you go ask others if they have heard the good news or say "good news" tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day." Then teach them that believe to do the same.
