Christ gave two very important commands after he rose from the grave. 1) “...Preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)” and 2) “Teach them to observe all things I have commanded you... (Mt 28.20).” Some refer to these as "The Great Commission"
We must first preach the gospel to another, allowing them to believe on Christ and be born of God (Jn 3.3, 5, 7 & 36, 6.47 and 1 Jn 5.1), before we can teach them to observe the things Christ has commanded us (i.e. preach the gospel and teach others to preach it). Christ warns - "Don't give that which is holy to the dogs nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and rend you (Mt 7.6).” "A man must be born again before he (or she) can see the kingdom of God (Jn 3.3)." Paul wrote: "The natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor 2.14).”
To preach the gospel to another simply ask them if they have heard the good news(Gospel means good news.) and say – (B>“Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4).” This is the exact same gospel that the apostle Paul himself received and preached, and this gospel 'according to the scriptures' will not return void (1 Cor 15.3-4 and IS 55.11). It saves every one that believes (Rom 1.16). Paul wrote, "I have begotten you through the gospel (1 Cor 4.15b, 1.21b and Rom 1.16)."
After the gospel has been preached to every person in every nation the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with him forever (Mk 16.15, Mt 24.14, 1 Cor 15.20-24 & 1 Thess 4.13-18 & Jas 5.7). There is still much work to be done for the church has replaced the gospel with their 'plan of salvation', greatly hindering the furtherance of the gospel (Read PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org for further explanation.).
To fulfill Christ's commands we must ask those who cross our path if they have heard the good news (I call this the catch phrase.) and tell them – “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4).” then teach them that believe to do the same (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20).
Please read a one-page paper on www.preach-the-gospel.org each day for encouragement to preach the gospel and to teach them that believe to preach it.
