REAPING

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows that will he also reap (Gal 6.7)."

Christ pays wages to those who reap in his harvest (Jn 4.35-36). Among them is eternal life, a benefit that is out of this world. In addition God supplies all our need (Phil 4.19) when we seek first His kingdom (or family) and his righteousness (Mt 6.33).

We seek His kingdom and righteousness by asking others if they have heard the good news and telling them, "Christ died for our sins, he was buried and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." Most know this already but knowing is not good enough. They must believe on Christ to be saved (Jn 6.47 and Acts 16.31) and "It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching (the gospel) to save them that believe (1 Cor 1.21b & Mk 16.15)."

The instant we believed on Christ we were supernaturally born into the family (kingdom) of God or born of God (1 Jn 5.1). Now we believe in Christ (See BELIEVE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.) and therefore follow Him, and he makes us to be fishers of men (Mt 4.19-20). We fish for men by preaching the gospel and discipling them that believe to do the same (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.19-20). This is how to reap in Christ's harvest (Jn 4.35-36).

Let's not be deceived (Jas 1.22-25). Instead let's sow to the spirit by preaching the gospel and teaching others to preach it. In so doing God supplies all our need and we reap everlasting life (Phil 4.19 & Gal 6.8).
