"That which we have seen and heard declare we to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ (1 John 1.3)."

We see in the above scripture that John had fellowship with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ and gave others the chance to have fellowship with them by declaring to them the things he had seen and heard (1 Jn 1.3). In other words he preached the gospel to them.

There is an unseen barrier between believers and nonbelievers preventing fellowship between them (2 Cor 6.14) which can only be removed by preaching the gospel (1 Cor 1.21 & 4.15). To preach it simply ask another if they have heard the good news or exclaim, "good news" and declare - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose from the grave on the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." This is the gospel according to the scriptures that the Apostle Paul received and preached.

After Christ rose from the grave he commanded John, along with His other apostles -"Go into all the world and preach the good news (gospel) to every person (Mk 16.15). Preaching the gospel became their lifelong ambition. They knew that by declaring what they had seen and heard (the gospel) others would be saved and brought into the family of God (Mk 16.20 and 1 Jn 1.3 & 5.1). For the instant another believes on Christ, after the good news is preached to them (Mk 16.15 & 1 Cor 1.21b), they become children of God (Jn 1.12 & 3.5).

To have a relationship with God a person must be born again into His kingdom (Jn 3.3,5) by believing on Christ (Jn 3.3,5 & 36 & 6.47, Acts 16.31, Eph 6.19 & 1 Cor 1.21). This occurs through preaching the gospel to others in person with our mouths (Eph 6.19) just as the Apostles did. Paul wrote, "I have begotten you through the gospel (1 Cor 4.15b)," The preached gospel message still saves every one that believes on Christ (See 47 PASSAGES ON BELIEF and SAVED! for a definition of 'saved' on After the gospel has been preached to every person in all the world the end will come (Mt 24.14 &31). After this, "The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the Clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thess 4.16-18)." Daily ask them that cross your path if they have heard the good news or exclaim "Good News" and declare - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day." In so doing we give others the opportunity to believe and come into fellowship with us, with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ (1 Jn 1.3).
