The serpent said to Eve, “Did God say you shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Surely you shall not die (Gen 3.1 & 4).” Likewise he says to the church, “Did God really command you to preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)? Surely you must not.”
It’s easy to believe that preaching the gospel is only for pastors, missionaries and evangelists; or that women can’t preach the gospel (Mary Magdalene was the first person to preach it after Christ rose from the grave, Mk 16.10) or that it is not our calling or gift or that we're not ordained (read Jn 15.16), or that it was only for the Apostles, or that all we have to do is let our lights shine and love others, etc. But Christ's commands all believers to - "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)."
Only after the gospel has been preached to every person in the world will He return for his bride, the church, and take us to be with him forever (Mk16.15, Mt 24.14&31 & 1 Thes 4.13-18). The devil will then be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented day and night for ever and ever (Rev 20.10). This is why satan has convinced us that we need not preach the gospel, as Christ has commanded us to do, and to replace it with a 'plan of salvation' (See PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).
According to the church's 'plan of salvation' we must have another admit to God that they are a sinner, ask his forgiveness and ask Christ to come into their heart in order for them to be saved (See THE SINNER'S PRAYER and SAVED for a definition of 'saved' on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). But according to Christ we are saved by believing on Him (See Jn 1.12, 3.14-16 & 36, 6.47, 7.38-39 & 11.25-27). He warns - “Take heed and beware of the leaven (doctrine) of the Pharisees and Sadducees (Mt 16.6 & 12).” The Apostle Paul wrote, “A little leaven (false doctrine) leavens the whole lump (Gal 5.9).”
All believers must preach the gospel (Mk 16.15, 1 Jn 1.3, 1 Cor 15.1-4, Eph 6.19, Rom 10.14-15 &1 Cor 1.21). But how can they preach it if they don't know what it is? The church is not teaching them this: The gospel according to the scriptures is - “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (Read 1 Cor 15.1-4).” This gospel that the Apostle Paul himself received and preached is easily preached by first asking another if they have heard the good news or proclaiming “good news.” The hearer is born of God the instant they receive Christ by believing on his name (Jn 1.12, 1 Cor 4.15 & 1 Jn 5.1).
We must also teach them that believe to preach the gospel for when this gospel is preached to every person in the world Christ will return and take us to be with him forever (Mk 16.15, Mt 24.14,31, 1 Thes 4.13 & Rev 22.17) and the the devil will be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented night and day for ever and ever (Rev 20.10). Yes, God really says - "Preach the gospel (Mk 16.15)."
