SIMPLICITY OF THE GOSPEL

"I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety,
so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ
(2 Corintians 11.3)."

It pleases God by the foolishness of preaching the gospel to save them who believe on Christ (Jn 6.47, Mk 16.15, Rom 1.16 & 10.14, Acts 16.31, 1 Cor 1.21). But evangelicals have added that to be saved a person must say a prayer (See THE SINNER'S PRAYER on www.good-newsbracelet.org.). It is impossible to preach a prayer. The gospel is simple enough for anybody to preach - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (Read 1 Cor 15.1-4)."

This gospel was good enough for the apostle Paul (without the sinner's prayer) and it is good enough for you and I as well. Daily ask those who God puts in your path if they have heard the good news or proclaim "Good News" (Gospel means good news.). Then tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day." The instant a person believes on Christ after the gospel is preached to them they become saved (See 47 PASSAGES ON BELIEF to confirm that a person is saved by believing on Christ and for a definition of saved see SAVED! on www.good-newsbracelet.org.).
