ARE YOU A SLAVE?

Seven billion people must have the gospel preached to them before Christ returns and takes us to be with him forever (Mt 24.14 & 30-31 and 1 Thes 4.13-18). In so doing we turn the world right-side up (See TURN THE WORLD RIGHT-SIDE UP on www.preach-the-gospel.org). Are we serving God by preaching the gospel and teaching others to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20)? Or are we serving money?

Most people unknowingly are a slave to money and the things money buys (See THINGS on www.preach-the-gospel.org). Money is a terrible god to serve for , "Life does not consist in the abundance of things that a man possesses (Lk 12.15)." "What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul (Mk 8.36)." "While some have coveted after it (money) they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Tim 6.10)." "Lay not for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust corrupts, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where you treasure is, there will you heart be also (Mt 6.19-21)."

"Money Can't Buy Me Love", as The Beatle's song so aptly puts it. Neither can it buy joy or peace (See WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). But God's blessing makes us rich as we go into the world preaching the gospel and teaching them that believe to preach it (Pr 10.22, Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20). Christ pays wages to those who reap in his harvest (Jn 4.35-36, Mt 9.37 & Lk 10.2) so nobody needs to be out of work (See NEED WORK? on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). To reap in Christ's harvest simply ask another if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.1-4)." while teaching them that believe to preach the gospel as well.

Why be a slave to money in quest of happiness through material things that don't satisfy (See THE MONEY GOD on www.preach-the-gospel.org.)? When we seek the kingdom of God He supplies all our need (Lk 12.31, Mt 6.33 & Phil 4.19). "Say not, There are yet four months, and then comes harvest. Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields: they are white already to harvest. and he (or she) that reaps recieves wages, and gathers fruit to life eternal.(Jn 4.35-36 also see 1 Cor 9.14 & 1 Tit 1.2).

Seven billion people must have the gospel preached to them before Christ returns. Meanwhile we turn the world right-side up. Let's ask others if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.1-4).", while teaching them that believe to preach the gospel as well. Let's be a slave to God, not money (Mt 6.24).
