THE VALLEY OF BACA

"Who passing through the valley of Ba'ca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools (Ps 84.6)."

The valley of Baca is a smelly, uninhabitable dump outside the gates of Jerusalem. Some say that our country is a smelly dump and they wouldn't be far from the truth ( 1 Jn 5.19) but we can change it.

God has given us power (Rom 1.16) to turn our nation right-side up (See TURN THE WORLD RIGHT SIDE UP on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). We pass through the valley of Ba'ca and make it a well by preaching the gospel as we go (Mk 16.15 & 2 Cor 2.14).

"They that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in (Is 58.12)." This happens as we preach the gospel and teach others to preach it (See ISAIAH 58.12 REVISED on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). But how can we preach the gospel if we don't know what it is?

The gospel, according to the scriptures, is - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.1-4)." This gospel that the Apostle Paul himself received and preached saves every one that believes when we tell it to them in person with our mouth as Paul did (Rom 10.14, 1 Cor 1.21b, Eph 6.19 & Col 4.3-4). But satan has thrown in a little leaven to keep the gospel from being preached as it ought to be (See A LITTLE LEAVEN and THE BIG LIE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).

The preach the gospel simply ask another, "Did you hear the good news (Gospel means good news.)?" then tell them "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.1-4)." The gospel goes beyond a persons head to their heart when we tell it to them in person with our mouth (Rom 10.9). God saves them the instant they believe on Christ (Jn 6.47 & Acts 16.31) and they bring forth good fruit (Mt 7.20 & Gal 5.22). Then we can teach them to preach the gospel as well thereby multiplying the fruit (Mt 28.20 & Jn 15.16).

We turn the valley of Baca into a well, making it habitable for generations to come (Is 58.12) by preaching the gospel as we go and teaching them that believe to preach it (Mk 16.15, Mt 28.20 & 2 Cor 2.14).
