"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season (2 Tim 4.2)."

In this world we are going to have trouble. This is a given. But Christ says for us to be of good cheer, that he has overcome the world (Jn 16.33). He overcame the world by being obedient to his Father.

We too can overcome the world by keeping Christ's command to, "Preach the gospel (Mk 16.15)." For when we confess him before men he confesses us before his Father in heaven (Mt 10.32) and we get the victory. We are to "Put on the full armour of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Eph 6.11), our adversary, who walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may destroy (1 Pet 5.8 & Jn 10.10a).

An essential part of the full armour of God is shodding our feet with the gospel of peace (Eph 6.15). The Apostle Paul asked others to pray for him, that utterance may be given him, that he may open his mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel (Eph 6.18-19). By clothing ourselves in the full armour of God we keep ourselves, and that wicked one touches us not (1 Jn 5.18). We resist the devil and he flees from us (James 4.7).

To preach the gospel to another simply ask them if they have heard the good news (gospel) and tell them, "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again the third day (1 Cor 15. 3-4)." This same gospel that the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (v 3) saves every one that believes when we tell it to them in person with our mouth as he did (Rom 1.16, 1 Cor 4.15 & Eph 6.19).

We overcome and are of good cheer as we keep Christ's command to preach the gospel, for when we confess Christ before men he confesses us before his Father in heaven.

Let's not let anything get in the way of our victory in Jesus. Let's preach the gospel (2 Tim 4.2).
