"And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness (1 Jn 5.19)."

If we hold the biblical world view of the world we know that unrighteousness is the rule, and it is the norm for wrongs to be committed. But there is something we can do about it. Knowing that unrighteousness is the norm should strengthen our resolve to preach the gospel and teach them that believe to preach it.

"That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ (1 Jn 1.3)." The Apostle John reveals here that the solution is to declare that which they had seen and heard. When we declare the things he saw and heard (and wrote) by preaching the gospel to another we bring them over to the good side where they might have fellowship with us (See GOODNESS and FAMILYSHIP on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).

"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Pr 14.34)." I thought about this verse in connection with the sin that abounds in our nation. For example, homosexuality and abortion are rampant. How can we condone such sin? Instead we must resist it by preaching the gospel and teaching them that believe to preach it so others might believe on Christ and be born again. Then God will lead us to repentance (Rom 2.4 and Phil 1.6).

Wickedness prevails in all levels of our society. "The plowing of the wicked is sin, but as for the pure, his work is right (Pr 21.4 & 8)." This is why we are undergoing a financial crisis (See THE ECONOMIC CRISIS on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). The way for purity to exist is to preach the gospel to others in person with our mouth (Eph 6.19-20 & Col 4.3-4). But the gospel is not being preached as it ought to be because the evangelical movement has replaced it with their 'plan of salvation' (See PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org.) and catholics have substituted good works for the gospel. Remember: Christ says - "Preach the gospel (Mk 16.15).", not present a 'plan of salvation'. We must tell others the good news with our mouth, not solely by good works.

To preach the gospel ask another if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." When we preach this gospel to others in person with our mouth it saves every one that believes (Eph 6.19 - 20, Rom 1.16 & 1 Cor 4.15) (See SAVED on www.preach-the-gospel.org for a definition of saved.). Then we can teach them to preach it (Mt 28.20), thus multiplying the gospel seed (Eph 6.19-20 & Col 4.3-4, Rom 1.16 and Mt 28.20) and bringing about righteousness. We know that righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people (Pr 14.34)."

When the gospel is preached to every person in every nation the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with him forever (Mk 16.15, Mt 24.14 & 30-31 and 1 Thes 4.13-18). Meanwhile we rescue our nation, turning the reproach (shame) of sin into righteousness that exalts it (See IMAGINE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).

Remember: "The whole world lies in wickedness (1 Jn 5.19)." But by preaching the gospel and teaching them that believe how to preach it we rescue it and speed Christ's return to take us to be with him forever.
