Wouldn’t it be great if everyone loved their neighbor as themselves (Mk 12.31)? But unless a person is born again they can’t because they are still in their sins. This is why we must diligently preach the gospel and teach others to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20).
Christ's command to every believer is - “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15).” Preaching the gospel to another allows them to believe on Christ and be born again (Jn 3.3), "For it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching (the gospel) to save them that believe (1 Cor 1.21 & Mk 16.15)." In so doing we make the world a better place to live (See Is 58.12). A place where people love their neighbors as themselves.
To preach the gospel simply ask another if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4).” They instant they believe they become born again (Eph 6.19-20 & Col 4.3-4, Jn 3.36 & 6.47, Acts 16.31, 1 Cor 4.15) and the Holy Spirit enters their heart producing good fruit (Eph 1.13 & Gal 5.22-23) (See SAVED on www.preach-the-gospel.org for a definition of 'saved'.).
Until a person is born again they are under the control of their sinful nature. “The works of the flesh (our sinful nature) are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, wrath, strife, envyings, murders, drunkenness and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5.19-21 & 1 Cor 6.9-10).” But once a person has been born again the Holy Spirit enters their heart replacing the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit (2 Cor 1.22 & Gal 5.19-23). What a great difference we make by preaching the good news and teaching them that believe to do the same (Mk 16.15 and Mt 28.20, Is 58.12)!
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if people loved their neighbors as themselves (Jas 2.8)? It can happen only to the extent we preach the gospel. Ask others if they have heard the good news and tell them – “Christ died for our sins, he was buried and he rose the third day.” Then teach them that believe how to tell the good news so that many will be believe on Christ and be born again (1 Cor 4.15).
