The Church was conceived through the preaching of the gospel and this has been it's purpose from the beginning, but somewhere along the line we have lost it. Because the gospel is not being preached as it ought to be wickedness prevails in our nation and world and Christ's return is being hindered (Mk 16.15, Mt 24.14 & 30-31, & 1 Thess 4.13-18).

To turn the world right-side up and speed Christ's return we must preach the gospel as we go and teach them that believe to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20). I went to evangelical churches for 30 yrs and was never taught what the gospel is or how to preach it. Isn't this strange considering that the gospel is clearly defined in the scriptures as – “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (Read 1 Cor 15.1-4.).”? This gospel that the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (v.3-4) is easily preached to another after asking them if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.).

Christ warns of the leaven (false doctrine) of the Scribes and Pharisees (Mt 16.6&12). And the Apostle Paul adds that, “A little leaven leavens the whole lump (Gal 5.9)." The 'plan of salvation' is leaven. According to it we must lead a person to Christ through a 'prayer of salvation' rather than simply preach the gospel to them as Christ commands (Mk 16.15). Paul writes, "I have begotten you through the gospel (1 Cor 4.15b). According to the scriptures a person is saved by believing on Christ, after the gospel is preached to them, not by a prayer (See 47 PASSAGES ON BELIEF and THE SINNER'S PRAYER on www.preach-the-gospel.org).

God’s plan of salvation is simple - “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ." (Jn 3.36 & 6.47 and Acts 16.31). But for others to believe on Christ we must preach the gospel to them in person with our mouth (Rom 1.16 & 10.14). "For it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching (the gospel) to save them that believe (1 Cor 1.21 & Mk 16.15)." "Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel... that I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak (Eph 6.19-20)." writes Paul. We have to tell them in person with our mouth!

Daily ask others if they have heard the good news and tell them – “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4).” Then teach them that believe to preach it as well (See TWO OR THREE on www.preach-the-gospel.org). Man's 'plan of salvation' has failed. Why not preach the gospel?
