"Where there is no vision, the people perish (Pr 29.18)."

Today's evangelical movement has fallen down a slippery slope. By substituting their 'plan of salvation' for the gospel they have created a generation of 'hearers only' who are deceiving themselves (James 1.22-25) (See PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). Without knowledge of what the gospel is and how to preach it we are destroyed (Hos 4.6) and without the vision of why we preach it we perish (Pr 29.18).

Christ's command to every believer (not just seminarians) is - "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." There are seven billion people we must preach the gospel to before Christ returns and takes us to be with him forever (Mt 24.14 & 30-31 and 1 Thes 4.13-18). The evangelical 'plan of salvation' can only be preached from behind a pulpit leaving the laiety impotent and blind (without vision). But Christ did not say to 'present a plan of salvation'. He commands us to - "Preach the gospel (Mk 16.15)." The good news is that anybody willing to do so can preach it.

The gospel according to the scriptures is - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." This gospel that the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (v 3-4) is easily preached to another after asking them if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.). It saves every one that believes (Rom 1.16) when we tell it to them in person with our mouth as the Apostles did (Eph 6.19-20 and Col 4.3-4).

After the gospel is preached to every person in every nation the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with him for ever (Mk 16.15, Mt 24.14 & 30-31 and 1 Thess 4.13-18). This "The blessed hope" (Tit 2.13) is what we strive for by preaching the gospel and teaching others to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20). This is how we turn the world right-side up (See TURN THE WORLD RIGHT SIDE UP and IMAGINE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).

Now that we know what the gospel is and how to preach it (knowledge), and why we preach it (vision) we can be doers of the work instead of hearers only, deceiving ourselves (Jas 1.22-25).

Please read a one-page paper each day on www.preach-the-gospel.org to encourage your heart to preach the gospel and to teach others to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20).
